





















I was testing a slow strike build.
So I had the idea of using The Impaler. So for that I would prefer damage over speed. Going the Heavy Strike pure Phys route with Magnate to make Double/Triple Damage chance.
And also trying to get 90% res with convert from phys to elm to make a really tank build.
I tried with really basic gear in a 5-L setup (Ancestral Call is for the ascendancy and the configs for Max Res, Cold/Lightning Res and 33% more damage are also for ascendancy), so there is also the increase of the Trauma Support.
PoB doesn't calculate Impales you inflict on Non-Impaled Enemies, the down time of The Impaler or the 20% chance to remove all Impales. So I think there is a extra dps not being add here.
On the worst side, I could hit with a low damage roll and activated the impaler and leaving me 4seg with a abysmal dps. Or I could triple damage Impale and then triple damage again to remove and do a huge multipler.
Do you guys think this can be viable? Worst case cenario is a 1m+ dps with 150k+ ehp
