Hi gals and pals, I thought I'd just post my Chieftain Ancestral Warchief build I've been tinkering with for the last few days. It's a simple elemental crit version using avatar of fire for the most part, but I plan on sticking with it and scaling it hard with strength stacking eventually.

I've taken the time, for the first time ever, to break down a build of mine into leveling trees along with several item sets and some notes on gem acquisition. It was initially just quick notes for myself, but figured there might be someone out there somewhere who's curious and wants some info - plus, it was fun!

I was planning to do a small write-up, but instead I'll use the awesome new PoB B.in! Just a thing I've noticed with PoB B.in - it shows all gems in links, even if they're not enabled in PoB, which is the case for my build (Exported config is a 5-link). Here you go:

As u/-Axonify pointed out, Wave of Conviction needs to deal damage to apply exposure, so my setup doesn't work while taking Ancestral Bond. The suggested trap setup Wave of conviction-Trap Support-Charged Traps-Cluster Traps would be a great exposure and charge generation setup, if you don't mind the micro. Alternatively, you can be rich and get Awakened Fire Pen Lvl 5 for the 10% fire exposure chance, but that's not reliable nor league start viable. Thanks u/-Axonify!

I also typo'd and linked Ruthless with Holy flame totem, which doesn't work. So just ignore that. There's also merit to leveling with any skill you'd like until you have some totem nodes: Ground Slam, Sunder, a taxi'd Splitting Steel from a duelist (Thanks u/cazcades).
