Why this post? Because most guides do not focus on the peculiar problems arising from doing this just a few hours into the league.
-
Why not Toxic Rain? I tried but we are doing roughly three overlapping TR pods worth of damage and it's hard to guarantee there'll be that much or more for TR. Also, our weapon is very cheap -- see below -- while a 5L Quill Rain is anything but.
-
Why Lightning Arrow? We are Raider for speed and to get a lot of life we need every life cluster we can find so Blood Drinker is pretty much a given. Once there we can grab the Arcing Blows cluster for a few points which gives us a lot of damage with the "non-critical strikes are lucky" lightning mastery synergizing with Precise Technique. We have a lot of bow nodes at hand, mirage archer is helpful so I feel a bow is good and there are four lightning bow skills and I picked LA. Improvements are welcome.
Spell suppression is 101% with the 3.19 tree. But capping is a lie because Revenge Of The Hunted only gives 10% when on full life but still, 91% is not too bad.
The glove has some requirements:
-
We want three, maybe four red sockets here (inc duration can be skipped). Since we have very little currency if we need to craft the socket colors ourselves then we need armor here because all red coloring would become an absolute PITA this early otherwise. Of course, if you find good 3R gloves on whatever base then good for you.
-
If we want the +12% Suppression Mastery then we need evasion. Some of your options include a) a base which has evasion, taking #1 into account I have used a hybrid base b) open prefix and bench craft flat evasion c) suppression suffix -- frees up a skill point too d) worst case you can bench craft suppression, it'll be lower than the mastery but oh well.
You especially don't want to waste chromes on the gloves because you want two blue in the boots and a red is a nice addition. Likely best is to do a red-blue with 15 chromes and use jewelers for the second blue -- if you have enough jewelers. If you are short on these then perhaps use Barrage instead of EWDA in QotF -- should be easier to get 3G1R than 2R2G.
If you can't get Lioneye's Paws then use LA - Elemental Weakness - Hextouch - Ballista Totem support in your armor. (Make sure you have Culling Strike in the Izaro fights somewhere.)
You have five rares -- weapon, amulet, gloves, two rings -- to add life, fix int, cap resists (when calculating in PoB remember you only need 45% resists) and scale damage with:
-
Increased Elemental Damage with Attack Skills.
-
Attack speed.
-
Flat lightning damage.
-
Flat other elemental damage.
The weapon can be as cheap as a single orb of binding on any Thicket Bow and a single essence of wrath, I presumed screaming -- but it's possible shrieking is the same price, the market can be weird. Craftofexile shows you will hit something close to or better what I have in PoB pretty much guaranteed. The newly merged Doomfletch is even better but it's possible you get lucky and be able to buy a 5L Thicket Bow for 1c and add Barrage or Faster Projectile and then that wins.
The other four rares are picked from the trade site, they are "3 months ago" and they are below 1c items. Truly nothing special, they just do what's described above, it's more of a verification that is possible to achieve our goals with alch-cost uniques. There's a "template" item set which uses the Hinekora amulet and PoB-edited gloves and leaves the rings open. Without the Hinekora amulet your biggest concern is keeping accuracy rating above life to make Precise Technique work. The PoB as given is 2878 life and 2988 accuracy. At lvl65 it's 2906 life vs 2991 accuracy -- make sure when you level up it doesn't push you over accidentally. The Hinekora amulet also caps the QotF provided movement speed but I do not think 225% vs 228% increased movement speed is worth it.
The annointment should be about 2c. It's a considerable cost but I feel it's worth it.
Adjust the levels of the blue gems in the boots to the amount of int you acquired.
There are levelling trees, even if the 3.19 PoB doesn't load, pobb has them linked.
