Hey guys,

So I'm a newer player, but I had an idea for a build that I really want to make work. I've taken an initial pass at creating a CoC Flicker Strike of Power build with Hexblast of Havoc as the triggered spell.

First off, let me say, the brief moments in the sun with this build feel absolutely amazing. Giant screen explosions, pretty damn good damage, and amazing potential for map clear.

Now to the meat and potatoes, I'm sure there are many of you out there that can instantly point out all the flaws in this build and at the very least theorycraft some ideas to make it actually workable.

Here's what the build needs to feel right for me:

  • 100% weapon crit chance (both for power charge generation and for triggering hexblast which is our main source of damage)

  • Ideally next would be super high spell crit so we're constantly criting with Hexblast and dealing those big juicy chaos hits

Here are the major flaws that I see right now:

  • Struggling to get to 100% crit chance, when I'm not at max power charges the build basically comes to a halt, no crits = no power charges = no crits = no damage :(

  • Extremely low defenses, spent just about everything just to get the attack working

  • Not sure best way to sustain the cost of the spells, currently playing with ES leech, but I wonder if there's a better way to manage auras and mana.

Here are some of my thoughts about potential fixes:

  • Currently I'm using Terminus Est for Frenzy generation, but I'm thinking with a well-rolled crit weapon I can ease the strain on acheiving the 100% crit chance from elsewhere and dump more into defenses that way, but then I would still like a way to get frenzy charge generation

  • Because I desperately need all the extra crit chance that comes with the power charges, I'm running a Willclash, Golden Mask to start me off at max power charges. Again, removing the unique from this slot should allow me to put a much better piece of gear in there instead, but I desperately need to start off encounters right now with max power charges.

TLDR: I came up with a build that I think could be awesome, if not at least a ton of fun once all the kinks are worked out and I'm in desperate need of some more seasoned exiles to help me find the biggest gaps and best places to make gains.
