I wanted to make a build utilizing Dual Strike work, into something viable. So I ended up with this. I will start by saying that this build is DEFINITELY not meta. I would not recommend this build to anyone if you are looking for smooth leveling, fast clearing, or really anything. If your sole purpose is to find a way to one shot bosses, this is just about all the build is good for.
Pros – One shots a lot of bosses. Pretty much can one shot any map boss up to T16 (aside from Guardians or Sirus). Sometimes I even one shot when there’s “More Life” or “Monsters have physical damage reduction” as a mod.
If you don’t one-shot, you have Culling on Crit so they usually die pretty quickly afterwards.
Melee, but has massive AoE and +Melee Range, so you’re basically ranged.
Cheap because you need very specific items that nobody uses. I made this build with under 20ex.
Cons – No flasks for boss fights. Meaning if we don’t One Shot, we can be in trouble afterwards.
Our damage takes a serious hit if the enemy is not on full-life. This also means if we don’t one shot, we can be in more trouble.
We build essentially no attack speed, as it doesn’t really help our damage, which means we attack pretty damn slow. Side note: Since our attack speed is so low, there is no point in using an attack movement skill. I use Dash & Ambush as my movement abilities to offset this.
How the build works: We take Careful Conservationist for 10% reduced flask charges used, and have a max rolled Mother’s Embrace (40% reduced flask charges used), with max rolled Writhing Jars. This gives us 5 uses of Writhing Jar per Flask, which gets used by 5 minions when summoned. This gives a total of 50 worms whenever we summon skeletons. We use a “From Dust” Jewel to summon the max number of skeletons.
Once all of our worms are flopping around, we use “The Impaler” and “Great Old One’s Tentacles” to splash a shitload of impales. These are scaled by our area of effect, and we have splash built into Dual Strike from Might & Influence.
Our next goal is to just pump out as big of a hit as possible, so I use Rallying Cry/Ambush, and two high damage one handers (one of them needs to be a mace for the splash). Due to Dual Strike getting 100% more crit chance on full life, and worms are always full life, it makes them the perfect candidate for getting smashed. Dual Strike also gets 30% more damage on full life enemies and Divergent Quality effect gives another 100% increased damage on full life enemies.
Since we aren’t using the flasks ourselves, Ryslatha Pantheon also grants us 3 flask charges per 3 seconds which is active all of the time.

Keep in mind, the DPS doesn't really matter for this build, mostly just the single hit matters: because you are splashing worms. Due to this, there isn’t really a way to calculate how much damage we’re doing (because not all worms will splash), but AoE is extremely valuable (because more worms will splash). Also PoB doesn't calculate Ambush (which basically guarantees a crit at 316% increased crit chance)
